Questions about giving
How do I know my donation is used properly?
Every payment is approved by two trustees. Money sent to Sujanagar goes only by bank transfer to our partner organisation, which must send receipts and reports for each project. We publish updates in our news section.
Can I give Zakat or Sadaqah?
Please contact us before giving Zakat so that we can confirm how it will be used and keep it separate from other funds.
Can I claim Gift Aid?
Not yet. We are applying to register as a charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Once registered, we will be able to claim Gift Aid on eligible donations.
Can I choose which project my money supports?
Yes. Tell us which project or aim you would like to support and we will record your donation as restricted to that purpose.
